ABOUT

EruDite

Passionate About Giving Meaningful

We are a social enterprise that strongly believes in the power of the underdog. Realising that many people on the ASD spectrum were not fully maximising their potential due to a lack of opportunities, we decided to step in and bridge that gap after students graduate from Special needs or Mainstream schools

We want to make this educational site by and for Autistic people. Anyone is welcome to join our inclusive family.

"The best way to predict the future is to create it"

These are words that strongly resonate with me and have been my motivation in life. I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way and allowed me to gain many experiences. Being an entrepreneur, to me, is solving a real problem and making a difference in people's lives, while always learning and improving oneself along the way.
.
Erudite was also founded on this principle. Being passionate about improving the lives of the disadvantaged, we want to allow people with Autism to realise their potential, and live independent, fulfilling lives. This journey will not be easy, but it is guaranteed to be a satisfying one.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”
.
It has indeed been a tough journey thus far to start up an social enterprise with zero experience. However the only thing that kept me moving forward was the thought of creating a better life for those around me. Though we often complain that we do not have enough resources and time to lend a helping hand, we fail to understand no matter what, we are still in a better position to help the people around us. No matter how small the action is, as long as it has touched someone’s life, we have all indeed made a difference in this society.
.
As we move forward, I do anticipate rough roads and tough obstacles. However, these would not stop us from making a impact in the world that we are living in! Thank you for being part of this journey with me and do continue to make a difference for the people around you!

“Don’t be afraid to fail! Starting one as a student gives you many opportunities and helping hands. Think about the problems different groups are facing and if you feel that you got a solution, pitch!”

Prior to the Hult Prize competition, i had neither experience nor knowledge about start-ups, let alone building a social enterprise from scratch. To say the least, it has been a nerve-racking yet fulfilling and enriching journey thus far - one that i do not regret embarking on.
.
Besides equipping people with autism with skills for better job opportunities, our motivation behind 'Erudite' is to dispel the stereotype that these individuals are only suited for blue-collar jobs. Autism itself is a spectrum. We hope to change the mindsets of companies towards people with autism and in turn, take a step closer to becoming an inclusive society for all, one that does not deprive people with special needs of opportunities.
.
As Seoyoon said, if you have an idea that contributes to the betterment of society, pitch! Take that leap of faith 🙂
